St. Landry Schools Closing Early Due To Break In Water Main

As a result of a break in the main water line in the Plaisance Water System, schools will be closing early.

Plaisance Elementary; Washington Head Start; and SLATS will close early today.

These schools will resume tomorrow according to KATC.

A boil advisory will also be issued once water is restored.

"When water is restored, the town will be under a boil advisory until further notice. That means all water must be boiled for a full minute before it is consumed or used for cooking or brushing teeth."
