It's true the effects of Tropical Storm Cristobal were minimal for the most part in Acadiana. That doesn't mean that there weren't some locations that saw some pretty significant weather. One of those such places was in Arnaudville and during inclement conditions on Saturday night, strong winds blew part of a 50-year-old tree onto the roof of a residence there.

Robert Tesch told KATC Reporter Katie Easter the tree crashed into his home about 11 pm Saturday night. He said he was dozing in his recliner when he heard a strong gust of wind and a crack and then noticed the tree coming through his roof.

The home which has been in Tesch's family since the 1940s has been occupied by the Tesch family since the 1980s. The family is still deciding what the next steps need to be in order to salvage the dwelling. Mr. Tesch told the KATC reporter that the dwelling had a lot of sentimental value and the family did not want to lose it but they are discussing their options.
