We've had quite an eventful day across Acadiana today with weather, and there's more on the way. So far, we've dealt with hail, flooding, 60mph winds and tornadoes. One Acadiana motorist was caught on Highway 90 during one of the hail storms and caught it all on his dash cam.
There were several reports of hail. There were, even more, reports of heavy rainfall and flooding. There were reports of strong gusty winds. Sadly, there were reports of fatalities.
This is all in conjunction with a well-anticipated storm system that is currently moving out of Acadiana and into Southeastern Louisiana and Southwest Mississippi...
That was the sound of hail you heard on your roof this morning. It's not over, there is still a significant threat we could see more severe weather today.
