Many around here recall that country star Trace Adkins' first band he fronted was based out of Acadiana and called Bayou.

Country great Mark Chesnutt was scheduled to play Route 92 in Youngsville on Friday, June 26, 2020. Of course, like almost every major event since the coronavirus pandemic, the concert is not happening on that date.

Last year in September, Aaron Tippin was scheduled to play Route 92 in Youngsville. But you may recall, the club was affected by the historic floods last August and the venue was not ready to go in time so the show was postponed.

To get the show started, former members of Trace Adkins' first band Bayou got together for a reunion. Kip Sonnier, Steve Grisaffe, Eddie Bodin, along with Jeff Dugan and friends were fantastic, and even kicked into a great rendition of River Road's "Nickajack", Steve Grisaffe's former band.

Some people may not know that Trace's first band was a group based out of Acadiana called Bayou. The band featured Trace, Kip Sonnier, Steve Grisaffe, Eddie Bodin and Benny Sonnier.

Country hitmaker and one of the true honky tonkers, David Ball, plays Route 92 in Youngsville this Friday, October 28th.
