The City of Scott puts on one of the best and biggest Mardi Gras parades in all of Acadiana, but if you're planning to attend this year, you should be aware of a major change.
A Mardi Gras tradition is returning to New Iberia tonight as the newly formed Bayou Mardi Gras Association's Mardi Gras Parade takes to the streets of the Bayou Teche community.
This year's parade permit was revoked because Police Chief Calder Hebert determined the city would need at least $200,000 for barricades and police security.
