The Good Fight Foundation Holding 3rd Annual School Supply Drive on Wed, Aug 2nd in Lafayette

Dustin Poirier is one of the most giving celebrities you'll ever meet. And of course, he's never forgotten where he's come from.

Mix that up with a great organization that he founded in 2018 and you've got great "give-backs" like the one coming up next week.

The Good Fight Foundation will be holding its 3rd annual Back to School Supply Drive on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Service Chevrolet Cadillac at 1212 Ambassador Caffery in Lafayette.

The giveaway will begin at 10:00 am and go on until supplies last.

All backpacks are first come, first serve and there is a max of three backpacks per vehicle.

To pick up a backpack, simply head to Service Chevrolet and follow the line! They will also be serving DeanO's pizza.

According to a recent post by The Good Fight Foundation on their Facebook page, they'll be handing out over 1,000 backpacks.

What a wonderful thing to do for the community!

And of course, we wish Dustin the best of luck in the Octagon this Saturday for UFC 291 as he'll square off against Justin Gaethje for a second time.

Poirier, a former UFC Lightweight Champion, heads into the fight with a career record of 29-7 (with 1 no-contest), while Gaethje is an impressive 24-4.

The first time the two met was back in April 2018, when Poirier knocked out Gaethje in the fourth round. That bout was deemed a "Fight of the Year" contender so there is definitely a buzz in Saturday's re-match in Salt Lake City.
