Things You Can Get for Free at Theme Parks
If you are making vacation plans to visit one of the many fun theme parks around the country this summer, then heads up for some freebies! The folks at Readers Digest and MSN are giving us a list of amazing things that I had no idea were up for grabs at no cost. Enjoy, and let us know if you found any other freebies we should know about!
- Water. At certain Disney parks, you can get a cup of ice water at the counter of any restaurant for free
- Professional Pictures. Instead of paying for a photo from the roaming pro photographer who works for the park, just hand him your own digital camera or cell phone. At Disney parks they are happy to do it. For free.
- Basic Medical Supplies. We're talking getting bandages or other simple fixes at any First Aid station in the park
- LEGOLAND California tickets. In 2019 any kid aged 3-12 can get a free ticket on their birthday this year.
- Celebration Pins. Whatever event you are celebrating, at Universal and Walt Disney World, you can stop by Guest Services to get a pin that lets the world (and park employees!) know it's your special day.
- Free Beer. To celebrate their 60th anniversary, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is giving guests who are 21 and older 2 complimentary beer samples each time they visit the park in 2019
- Free Trick or Treating. At Universal Studios (both Orlando and Hollywood) they give out free candy to tots on the wildly popular Halloween Horror Nights. Kids can also dress up for family-friendly events during the day
- At Magic Kingdom, you can get a free pack of Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Cards at the Main Street Fire Station
- Free chocolate. At the Ghiradelli Shop at California Adventure at Disneyland you can always sample the free chocolates offered daily.
- Mobile Apps. Most theme parks have their own apps which makes it easier for you to experience all the fun. You can check on attraction wait times, and find that cool tee shirt you've always wanted just by checking your app.
- Character Autographs. Who wouldn't want Minnie Mouse's autograph? A sweet remembrance, indeed.
- Pins. Disney has an awesome pin trading program, but be sure to check out the rules before you get your heart set on the brand new 2019/2020 pin
