Louisiana lottery players have been on an extended hot streak of late when it comes to earning major payouts in the two multi-state lottery games that are available in the state. Just this past week there were two different winners of $50,000 each in the multi-state Powerball game. There was also a $30,000 Mega Millions winning ticket that was sold in the state on December 7th.

The two tickets, one for the December 12th drawing and the other for this past Saturday, December 15th drawing both matched four of the five white ball numbers and the Powerball to lay claim to a total prize of $50,000.

The winning ticket from the December 12th drawing was sold in Slidell at a RaceTrac gas station on Gause Boulevard. The December 15th winning ticket was sold in Plaquemines at the V&C Grocery on Bellview Road.

Both the Powerball and Mega Millions Jackpots have continued to grow over the past several weeks. The Powerball jackpot is estimated to be $262 million when the drawing is held on Wednesday night. Meanwhile, the Mega Millions jackpot is estimated to be $284 million when the drawing for that game is held on Tuesday evening.
