Update: Kerry Bertrand, the person of interest in his stepdaughter's death in August, is now charged with manslaughter.

According to our news partners at KATC, Kerry Bertrand of Acadia Parish has been re-booked into jail on the charge in the death of Skylar Credeur, who was found dead in her bathtub. Bertrand's bond has been set at one million dollars.

Update: The victim in Wednesday's murder in Acadia Parish has been identified. According to our news partners at KATC, Acadia Parish deputies say 20-year-old Skylar Credeur of Rayne died by drowning. Her stepfather, Kerry Wayne Bertrand is considered a person of interest in the case and faces 5 counts of violation of a protective order. His bond is set at $450,000.Bertrand has not been charged with murder in this case.

Meanwhile, Mid South Bank has announced that donations can be made at all of their banks into an account set up for funeral expenses.

Update: The Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office says the woman was 20-years-old. According to our news partners at KATC, deputies are not searching for a suspect. Authorities are not giving any other details until the autopsy from the Calcasieu coroner is complete.

Update: Acadia Parish Sheriff's deputies are investigating the incident, which they initially thought was a shooting.

According to our news partners at KATC, deputies are saying no shots were fired and they aren't saying yet what caused the "suspicious death" on Victor Drive. Authorities are waiting for the autopsy report on the body that was found on Victor Drive.

KATC reports the schools were placed on lockdown because the deceased person had children at both Branch Elementary and Rayne High.

A shooting in Acadia Parish has Branch Elementary and Rayne High on lockdown.

That's according to our news partners at KATC, who say the two schools are on lockdown after the shooting happened in a rural area of the parish on Victor Drive. Branch Elementary is on lockdown because, as school officials point out, the suspect is the ex-husband of one of the school employees. Rayne High is on lockdown because it's about nine miles from where deputies say the shooting took place.
