Lafayette Police Release More Details In Homicide Investigation (Updated)
Update: Lafayette Police are confirming information about Alannah L. Montalvo and the investigation itself.
Investigators say Montalvo's body was found dismembered inside a toolbox, very similar to the one pictured above. Police will not elaborate on the condition of the body, out of respect for Montalvo's family.
As for the investigation, LPD have revealed they were already investigating the whereabouts of Montalvo when a tip was forwarded through the Duson Police Department to the Lafayette Police and Sheriff's Office. That information led to them to Montalvo's body and the connection of her to Barrett B. Farabee II, the suspect in her killing.

Turns out two fatal incidents that Lafayette Police have been working on since Friday are related.
On Friday, a man named Barrett B. Farabee II (36) was shot and killed after police say he trespassed at a Lafayette residence in the 100 block of Fanny Street. LPD say Farabee was naked and armed and was shot by the home owner.
Officers now say Farabee was the suspect responsible for the death of the woman found in a toolbox in the 300 block of S. Wilderness Trail. The woman has been identified as 23-year-old Alannah L. Montalvo of Lafayette and was in a relationship with Farabee.
Lafayette Police say investigators are now asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle registered to Farabee, a green 2-door 2002 Honda Accord with Tennessee license plate “505JGQ,” a vehicle both Farabee and Montalvo were known to use.
