
Louisiana State Police Need Your Vote in National Cruiser Contest
LOUISIANA - The Louisiana State Police have officially revealed their entry for the 2026 American Association of State Troopers (AAST) Best-Looking Cruiser Contest, and it's a photo that proudly showcases everything that makes the Bayou State unique. Now they're asking Louisianans to help them earn another spot among the nation's best by casting votes.
Louisiana State Police Looking to Build On Last Year's Success
After receiving overwhelming support from residents across Louisiana and beyond, the agency finished 7th in the nation, earning a coveted spot in the 2026 AAST Best-Looking Cruiser Calendar for the first time in Louisiana State Police history.
Now they're hoping to climb even higher.

The annual contest features state police agencies from across the country, with the top 13 entries earning a place in the next calendar. The state that receives the most votes earns the coveted cover photo and bragging rights as home to America's Best-Looking Cruiser.
This Year's Louisiana Cruiser Photo Features An Iconic Louisiana Landmark
Rather than simply photographing a patrol vehicle, this year's image captures some of Louisiana's most recognizable scenery.
The official submission features LSP K-9 Gamp standing between two Louisiana State Police patrol units beneath the towering live oak trees draped in Spanish moss at Jungle Gardens on Avery Island.

The photo comes across as distinctly Louisiana, combining public service with the State's natural beauty and rich heritage.

When And How To Vote
Voting for the 2026 AAST Best-Looking Cruiser Contest is now underway.
According to Louisiana State Police, voting opened Monday, June 29, 2026, at 9 a.m. and will remain open until Friday, July 10, 2026, at 11 a.m.
Votes can be cast through the AAST website or via Louisiana State Police's official social media channels, the AAST Facebook page, and statetroopers.org.
State Police are encouraging everyone to vote and share the contest with friends and family. Every vote helps showcase Louisiana to a nationwide audience while recognizing the troopers and K-9 teams who serve communities across the state every day.
After making history with last year's Top 10 finish, Louisiana has a chance to move even higher in the rankings and possibly claim the title of America's Best-Looking Cruiser.
