Walmart’s Trendy New Food Partners – What’s Coming to Louisiana?

Earlier this year it was revealed that many Walmart Stores across the giant retailer's footprint would soon be adding Mr. Gattis Pizza locations. Mr. Gattis has long been a popular pizza stop in Louisiana but if you thought Walmart was through with the in-store changes to its dining options you would be mistaken. To quote the late Billy Mays, "But wait, there's more".

Across America, Walmart has been in a remodeling mode of sorts. Stores across the county have been given updated exteriors and interiors, there is a lot of new paint, and many locations have replaced and refurbished the shopping carts that we use to gather our purchases.

And while the addition of Mr. Gattis is seen as a major positive step by some, there were other customers that were hoping that Walmart would be offering even more in-store dining options to customers. Many Walmart stores currently offer McDonald's, Subway, or Taco Bell in their locations but along with the remodeling of the stores the principles at Walmart felt an "in-store food refresh" would be a good idea as well.

As of now, Walmart has revealed plans to add Knuckies Hoagies to some of their locations. Knuckies Hoagies is a sandwich chain based in Milton Georgia. The brand specializes in fresh sandwiches and cheesesteaks. The chain also offers a selection of fresh salads for those who want that as a dining option.

Walmart locations that offer Knuckies Hoagies might also host a location of Alumni Cookie Dough Shop too. The agreement between Walmart and Knuckies allows for franchises to have that as an option as well. Knuckies is currently in Walmart stores in six states including Oklahoma and Texas.

We should note that the giant retailer has also agreed to expand its partnership with Uncle Sharkii's Poke. This will give shoppers even more food options should they choose to dine while shopping.

Will all of these dining options be coming to a Walmart in Louisiana? It's quite possible they will. The management at Walmart is asking for your patience though. The companywide remodeling and refresh is expected to take several years to complete so it would be more than a few months before you notice changes at your hometown Walmart.
