The New Orleans Saints, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and Team Gleason, the Whodat Nation along with Mayor Mitch Landrieu and the New Orleans mayor's office will attempt break the world record for the largest ice bucket challenge this Saturday in Champions Square.

The Ice Bucket Challenge will begin at 10:15 a.m. in Champions Square following the Saints Kickoff 5K Run. If you're not participating in the race, you can still be part of the Ice bucket Challenge. You can show up starting at 9:30 a.m. to join the challenge and receive a bucket. Buckets, other than those provided, will not be permitted.

Mayor Landrieu accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge from Steve Gleason in August, and then challenged Saints fans across the city to break the world record in support of Team Gleason.
