Yeti Recalls Travel Mugs Due to Potential Burn Hazards
Yeti has issued a voluntary recall for more than 240,000 of its Rambler 20 oz Travel Mugs with Stronghold Lids sold nationwide during October 2020.
The company says the issue involves the lid's magnet slider ejecting from the lid and hot contents could spill out of the mug, posing injury and burns to the consumer.
The item was sold exclusively through YETI.com and Yeti retail stores and does not include any sales from Amazon, REI, Academy, ACE, Dick's Sporting Goods or other retailers.
The mugs were sold in a variety of colors: black, copper, graphite, ice pink, northwoods green, navy, and seafoam. The recall only involves travel mugs with the date code 34204010. The date code is located at the bottom of the mug base. The SKU is located on the product packaging slip for online orders, and the product receipt for in-store purchases.
