Members of the Abbeville High School Wildcats football team assisted a local service center by helping distribute food to the needy.

The Christian Service Center in Abbeville has been helping those in need for many years. From clothing and food needs to rent and transportation assistance and even a Christmas program for kids, this non-profit has helped thousands in Vermilion Parish.

All that assistance can't happen without the donations from people like you and me; whether it be monetary donations or a donation of our time. These young men stepped up today to volunteer their time to help the people in need.

The Christian Service Center had a special distribution today for Vermilion Parish from the Coronavirus Assistance Program. These Abbeville High football players helped to load boxed food and gallons of milk into the vehicles of those who drove through.

Kudos to these kids (and to those adults who helped them get involved) for giving your time to help those in need. It's lessons like these that will help mold today's youth into caring, contributing members of society.
