BATON ROUGE, La. (KMDL-FM) - After a couple of years of uncertainty, one of Louisiana’s most iconic summer destinations is making a major return, and families across Acadiana and Baton Rouge are already getting excited.

Blue Bayou Waterpark has officially announced that tickets for the 2026 summer season are now officially on-sale. They've also announced what changes and upgrades to the park you can expect when you get there.

Blue Bayou Set to Reopen for Summer 2026

The Baton Rouge waterpark is scheduled to reopen mid-May, 2026 under new management, marking a new chapter after previous closures.

Now, with new leadership in place, Blue Bayou is aiming to re-establish itself as a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike.

When Do Blue Bayou Tickets Go on Sale?

According to bluebayouwaterpark.com tickets are on-sale as of 10am March 26, 2026. Season passes and combo packages are also expected to be available, offering unlimited visits throughout the 2026 season along with additional perks like discounts and special access days.

Major Upgrades To Blue Bayou Waterpark 

Under new management, Blue Bayou says they are focusing heavily on cleaner facilities, improved safety standards, enhanced food and beverage options, and an overall better experience.

Blue Bayou also says they will offering quite a few free amenities.

Among the free amenities will be free inner tubes and lifejackets, as well as free, unlimited fountain drinks for all guests. The park will also have new smart lockers, which can be accessed by a personalized passcode or by facial ID, rather than a key.
