There are several great mysteries in life. You know, things like "why can't we all just get along?", "how many licks does it really take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop?" or "who in their right mind would ever be a Cowboys fan?"

I try not to question too much though. I simply try to be the solution to the problem. But then sometimes, I just haven't a clue.

The latter happened to me over the weekend when I put a small saucepan on the stove to heat up a little something for lunch. I plopped the pot on the stove, turned on the gas and within seconds I began hearing a strange "clanking" sound.

My bride was nearby wrapping Christmas presents and I turned to her for an answer. "Do you hear that?"

We both stood in confusion, so I turned the heat off and listened as the random noise faded away.

I inspected the pot. All looked well, so I fired up the gas again. And again the noise started up again.

I videoed the mystery with hopes of someone knowing exactly what was happening and I could put to bed the notion that I have haunted cookware.

There has to be a logical explanation for this, right? Help me out.
