Candlelight Vigil Set For Thursday, April 6th For Victim Of Fatal Lafayette Crash
This past Monday, UL student Brad Wedlock tragically passed away in a fiery vehicle crash on Congress St. KATC reports a candlelight vigil is now scheduled in remembrance of Brad tomorrow.
The vigil of remembrance will take place tomorrow at 6pm at the UL Lafayette Picard Center.
Wedlock was a doctoral student at UL who was scheduled to graduate in May with his PhD in education.
He was laid to rest today in Evangeline Parish.
The suspect, 24-year-old Joseph Dakota Richey of Scott was arrested earlier today after being released from the hospital.

Richey is facing multiple traffic and criminal charges including misuse of two-way center turn Lane, speeding, reckless operation, seatbelt violation, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of schedule I ( marijuana) , OWI (2nd offense), and vehicular homicide.
