Have you made that beer run yet? Well, you still have time before Acadiana's Largest Cocktail party kicks off. Classic Country Saturday Night gets going in about an hour so while we have a minute, let's take a second to celebrate.

What are we celebrating you ask? We are celebrating the important milestones in the lives of our favorite classic country artists. Let's jump in the country music time machine!

May 16th...

1969: Merle Haggard recorded 'Workin' Man's Blues'. Good thing it's Saturday and Classic Country Saturday Night doesn't require any sort of work on your part!

1985: Alabama took their album 40-hour Week to #1 on the country album's chart. Boy was it a treat to see them present at the 50th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards this April.

Although we are going with the whole workin' man thang, the only job you have tonight is to send us your requests for Classic Country Saturday Night. The show is all by your request so give us a call on the leash line, (337) 261-9797, and let us know what classics you want to hear. Happy Louisiana Saturday Night Dawgs!
