I bet you're scratching your head wondering what 'almost' is supposed to mean.

Before I explain, I must say Happy Anniversary to two of country music's greatest legends, George Jones and Tammy Wynette. However, technically it isn't their true anniversary. This is where the 'almost' comes in.

On this day back in 1968, the couple announced their marriage, but they didn't officially get married until 6 months later (February 16, 1969).

They would end up divorcing a few years later on March 21, 1975.

No matter the case, they are still two of country's most beloved classic country legends.
