Country Music History With Classic Country Saturday Night: May 30th [Videos]

Well Dawgs it is the last Saturday in May and that means it is official summer time! No better way to celebrate then with Acadiana's Largest Cocktail Party, Classic Country Saturday Night. The festivities get going in about an hour and you know what that means. It's time for some classic country history.

As we jump into the classic country time machine we learn that on this day in...

1964: We must say big Happy Birthday to Wynonna Judd! Although she has taken off on her solo career, my favorite classic country hit from Wynonna will always be 'Grandpa' that she recorded with her momma, Naomi.

1966: Happy Anniversary goes out to the lovely Dolly Parton and her husband Carl Thomas Dean. They celebrate 49 years together today. Let's pull one of Dolly's hits from the classic country archives.

1988: Randy Travis jumps back up to #1 on the country charts with his album Always & Forever. My favorite from the album would have to be 'I Told You So.' And of course our prayers stay with him and his family as he struggles with his health.We love you Randy!
