Footlong Cookies Heading to a Louisiana Subway Restaurant Near You
Subway is clearly known for its delicious footlong sandwiches. Now, the fast-food chain may soon be equally known for a new addition to its menu -- footlong cookies!
The company announced that it will be rolling out these cookies at its restaurants nationwide in 2024.
However, there are a few select cities that will get a preview of these sweet treats before everyone else.
If you are in Chicago, Dallas, Miami, or New York, a few select Subway restaurants will turn into "Cookieway," where you can get a free footlong cookie with the purchase of any footlong sub.
The event happens on National Cookie Day, which is December 4. On that day, customers at the following locations from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm local time can get a free footlong cookie, while supplies last:
- Chicago: 604 S Wabash Ave., Suite D, Chicago, IL 60605
- Dallas: 1222 Commerce Street, Suite 150, Dallas, TX 75202
- Miami: 2795 Collins Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33140
- New York City: 545 8 Ave., New York, NY 10018
The catalyst for this new footlong cookie was a successful event last year. Subway created a special, limited run of footlong cookies for National Cookie Day in 2022. Fans gobbled those up in less than two hours at a Cookieway pop-up in Miami.
Subway's culinary team has spent the last year working on perfecting the recipe for a footlong version of its most popular cookie.
Oh yeah, Subway sells more freshly baked cookies than any other restaurant in the United States, so they must be doing something right.
