St. Martin Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness will hold a FREE Storm Spotter Training course tomorrow, Tuesday, August 12 at the Fire Training Center on Ruth Bridge Hwy. Trained “Storm Spotters” can identify and explain weather conditions to weather service professionals and by doing so, enhance the severe weather warning system. The National Weather Service out of Lake Charles, will be offering the SKYWARN® Severe Weather Observer Class to any citizen who would like to attend, but you must be registered.
