Why yes, I am familiar with the fact that the word "gutterz" isn't normally spelled with the letter "z" at the end. But this isn't a normal bowling event that we are describing, hence the unique spelling for a one-of-a-kind fundraiser that we are proud to illuminate with our Shaking Out the Good Stuff spotlight compliments of Morton Salt.

The instigator behind Gloves and Gutterz has certainly earned the term "instigator". His name is Scott Dominque and perhaps you're aware of his alter ego on the Internet? Just Google Cajun On Star and you'll get an idea of where Scott's heart and humor lie.

We know he loves to laugh and we know he loves Louisiana and we also know he is on a personal mission to eliminate Cystic Fibrosis. In order to do that Scott is hosting the Gloves and Gutterz Bowling Tournament Saturday, July 13th at Lafayette's Premier Lanes.

I will let Scott explain the situation to you via this post on his Instagram account.

The cost to register a team is $250. A team is made up of four members and there are ample opportunities for businesses to be a sponsor or sponsor a table. You can find the registration information right here.

Gloves and Gutterz is just one of the many ways people in Acadiana have made "shaking out the good stuff" a personal mission. That's why Morton Salt's Weeks Island Facility offers this online spotlight every week so that we can bring you details on individuals, groups, and organizations that are constantly working to improve life in South Louisiana.
