(KMDL-FM) One of the leading names in child care products, Graco, has issued a statement regarding several of its baby and infant car seat models. That statement coincides with a recall of those products. And, if you're a parent, grandparent, or caregiver for a child who uses one of these seats, this is the kind of recall notice you simply can't ignore.

The products have been available in stores across the United States and online since January of this year. Some of the retailers that have sold the recalled seats include Amazon, Babylist, Target, Walmart, and the company's online shopping site, Gracobaby.com.

Why Are Graco Children's Safety Seats Being Recalled?

The issue with the children's safety seats was discovered during a post-production laboratory test. That test identified a structural concern that the company felt had to be addressed and the consumer notified.

Graco is one of the most trusted names in childcare products in the world, and the company issued a statement regarding the recall.

Those words are included in the statement the company made via its website regarding the recalled products. I am sure parents can appreciate the fact that Graco understands the frustration, and it shows they are working swiftly to rectify the situation.

The recall notice from Graco is quite extensive. The recall applies to the SnugRide Turn&Slide products. What Should Parents Do to Get a Refund for a Recalled Graco Car Seat?

Graco is advising consumers to complete the refund process via the Graco registration form that is found with each product or may be found via the Graco Recall Page. Once you've completed that step, that's all you need to do.

Parents and caregivers may still use the seat if needed, as long as it is used without the base. Do not bring recalled products to the store or return them to the online retailer where they were purchased.
