UPDATE: 62-year-old Melinda Harrington of Kaplan has been identified as the victim who died in Monday night's fatal crash on LA Hwy 14 near Huckleberry Road in Vermilion Parish.

Louisiana State Police Trooper Thomas Gossen says Harrington was traveling in a suburban eastbound on LA 14 while Michael Savoy was traveling in a truck in the opposite direction. Gossen says, for reasons still under investigation, Savoy's truck crossed the center lines and collided with Harrington's suburban.
