Louisiana Lottery Confirms Major Powerball Win on Monday

Louisiana Lottery players who like to try their luck at the multi-state lottery game Powerball have found themselves on a bit of a winning streak. The Louisiana Lottery has confirmed that recent Powerball drawings have made winners in New Iberia, Metairie, Walker, and Ville Platte, Louisiana. And as of Monday, November 11, 2024, the Louisiana Lottery had confirmed yet another high dollar payout for playing Powerball.

Powerball drawings are held three times a week across the game's footprint. The object of the game is to match all of the white ball numbers and the red Powerball. A ticket that does that will win the jackpot amount. Players have the option of choosing a lump sum payout or they may take their winnings over time.

Louisiana Lottery Confirms $50,000 Powerball Winner on Saturday

Our sources at the Louisiana Lottery confirmed there was a big Powerball win in the state on Saturday. The Powerball drawing for November 9th produced yet another big money winner in Acadiana. Our sources at the Louisiana Lottery tell us a ticket sold in Lafayette at Albertsons on Ambassador Caffery Parkway, the one near Settler's Trace, sold a ticket that matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball to earn a prize of $50,000.

The other multi-state lottery game available for play in Louisiana is Mega Millions. The jackpot in that game is listed at $361 million for the annuitized jackpot. The lump sum payout on Mega Millions tonight is estimated to be $169.2 million. The drawing is scheduled for 10 pm.
