Louisiana Winner: Lottery Confirms $450,000 Payout

(KMDL-FM) Saturday nights are big nights for lottery fans across Louisiana and across the nation. Saturday is when the multi-state lottery game Powerball holds one of its three weekly drawings, so that is where the national interest comes from.

We play Powerball in Louisiana as well, so there is a vested interest in those big jackpots along the bayou. But on Saturday nights, the Louisiana Lottery also draws for winners in the Lotto game and the Easy 5 game. And lately, both of those "Louisiana only" games have been drawing for higher-than-average jackpot amounts.

How Much Was the Powerball Jackpot for Saturday, April 11, 2026?

On Saturday, April 11, 2026, the estimated annuitized Powerball jackpot was reported to be $36.2 million. That's small by what most of us think "Powerball Standards" are, but the game just got a winner and is in the process of building that jackpot amount.

We can confirm, through sources at Powerball and the Louisiana Lottery, that no tickets sold for Saturday's Powerball drawing matched all the numbers needed to claim the game's jackpot prize.

There was a Match 5 Million winner, and that ticket was sold in California. Unfortunately for Louisiana Powerball players, Lady Luck was paying attention to another game in the state on Saturday night.

What Were Louisiana's Big Powerball Wins on Saturday Night?

The largest confirmed Powerball win in Louisiana was only $200. Six tickets earned that prize. Another ten tickets had similar number match scenarios but didn't opt for the Power Play. That means their winnings are $100.  Here are the Powerball numbers from April 11, 2026:

The next time Powerball holds a jackpot drawing, the jackpot amount is estimated to be $45 million. One other note about Powerball as the game is building a jackpot. The Power Play function will include a chance at a "x10" win until the jackpot amount reaches $150 million.

So, if you play, even if you don't match for the jackpot, you could pick up $40 bucks on a $3 wager. Something to consider, if you have available funds for lottery games.

On Saturday, the Louisiana Lottery drew for a $1.1 million prize in the Lotto game. There was no jackpot winner. Eight tickets sold for that drawing did win $1,000, and another 387 tickets won $50.

Right now, Lotto may be the better "fiscal" investment for lottery players. I still have trouble using the word "investment" when describing buying lottery tickets, but by definition, that's what you're doing.

Single Ticket Wins $450,000 in Louisiana Lottery Easy 5 Game

You have probably deduced that the big lottery win on Saturday came in the Easy 5 game. You are correct. A ticket sold in Prairieville, Louisiana, matched the five numbers needed to win the jackpot of $450,000.

Easy 5 will now reset its jackpot amount for Wednesday's drawing. The Lotto jackpot on Wednesday will be an estimated $1.125 million. Monday Powerball will play for an annuitized $45 million jackpot with a $20.5 million cash pay option.

On Tuesday, Mega MIllions will draw for an estimated annuitized jackpot of $120 million with a cash pay option of $53.5 million. That's currently the largest single-ticket lottery prize available for Louisiana players. Of course, that changes as games are won or lost.
