Love of People – Shaking Out the Good Stuff for Laughs This Time

The folks at Morton Salt have a saying, "When it rains, it pours". And that doesn't just apply to the salt the folks at Morton Salt's Week's Island facility pull from the ground. They believe that when you do good things and speak of good things then more good things will happen. And that's how this series of articles, Shaking Out The Good Stuff, was born.

This week our Morton Salt community enrichment spotlight shines on an organization that lives up to its name every day. It's Love of People. The mission of Love of People is to "Helping Others, Help Others". In other words, they like to create opportunities for people not directly involved with a project to become involved with that project for the betterment of all.

Love of People has been the driving force behind Blue Monday and the Blue Monday Concert Series. These musical performances give a lot of musicians a chance to play and it gives audiences a chance to come out and support those musicians. The monies raised go to help Lafayette and Acadiana's creative community.

Unfortunately, many of our most popular artists and performers don't always have the medical care or transportation they need to keep themselves in the best of help. This is one of the ways that Blue Monday and Love of People have helped.

Love of People Invites You To Cajun Comic Relief

The celebration of Cajun Comic Relief to Benefit Love of People will take place on March 9th. The event will be held at Lafayette's Heymann Performing Arts Center. This year there will be two different performances.

The focus of the 33rd Annual Cajun Comic Relief to benefit Love of People will be on two of their programs. Rock Steady Boxing Acadiana and Belle's Tower are the programs that have been specially earmarked for the fundraiser. But with Love of People, there are so many great ways your money can help.
