Famous Retailer Macy’s Set To Close 14 Locations Soon
(KMDL-FM) The current business climate in the United States is as tough as it's ever been. Retailers are not only adjusting to the economic climate butalso to massive changes in the way consumers consume. These changes in retail habits have forced many iconic retail brands to rethink, restructure, or simply retire from business. One of the biggest names in retail, Macy's, has announced plans for the shuttering of even more locations.
The shuttering of storefronts by Macy's is not new news. The company has been paring down its assets for at least two years. The change in the retail landscape motivated the giant retailer to rethink its business strategy. Part of that "rethinking" process included a downsizing plan that was made public two years ago.
