Part of Bonin Road Closed Due to Bridge Washout

Rick Garner, the CEO at Youngsville City Hall, tells us Bonin Road between Ambassador Caffery Parkway and Fortune Road has been closed to all but local traffic.  Garner says the bridge on Bonin Road about 200 yards south of Ambassador Caffery was washed out by the heavy rains that hit the area earlier this morning.  Garner says there is no timetable on when the road will be reopened.  He says engineers are working to assess the damage and to see what repairs will be needed.  However, he added the full extent of the damage may not be known until Monday.
