Powerball Results – Louisiana Lottery Confirms Big Win
(Baton Rouge, LA) The Louisiana Lottery has confirmed major prize wins in all three of its featured Saturday night draw games. The Powerball multi-state lottery game featured an estimated top prize of $1,000,000,000. The Lotto game's jackpot was $1.925 million, and the top prize in Easy 5 was $100,000.
These drawings came just twenty-four hours after the state's lottery players had a chance to win $277 million playing Mega Millions. That was the annuitized jackpot. Or a winning ticket could have chosen $124.6 million for the lump sum or cash payout. Unfortunately, no one had to make that choice after Friday's drawing since there was no jackpot winner sold across the Mega Millions footprint.

The largest prize earned by a state sold ticket for Mega Millions was only $1,500. And Louisiana's streak of having never produced a jackpot winner in that game remains intact. Meanwhile, there is Powerball. Louisiana has produced more than a few jackpot winners in that game.
How Much Was the Powerball Jackpot on Saturday Night?
Here is how the drawing for Saturday, August 30, 2025, played out.
If you watch the drawing, you will see the official jackpot amount at drawing time was announced as $1,034,000,000. Our sources at Powerball did confirm that no ticket sold for Saturday's drawing matched the numbers needed to earn that jackpot prize.
There were nine tickets sold across the Powerball landscape that matched all five of the white balls but missed the Powerball. Those tickets are worth $1 million this morning. They were sold in Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and two in California.
Three other tickets had that same Match 5 Million scenario, but they opted for the Power Play function of the Powerball game. Their tickets are worth $2 million this morning. Those Power Play Match 5 Million winners were sold in Connecticut, Indiana, and New Hampshire.
What Were The Powerball Numbers? Were There Any Big Wins in Louisiana?
Our sources at the Louisiana Lottery have confirmed that 19,808 winning tickets were sold in Louisiana for Saturday's Powerball drawing. There were 8,950 tickets confirmed as Powerball plus Power Play winners in last night's drawing.
Here are the numbers that were drawn for August 30, 2025, in Powerball.

If you played Powerball or any other lottery game with the Louisiana Lottery, you should always visit the official Lottery website to verify your tickets and winnings. You can do that for Powerball, Lotto, Easy 5, Mega Millions, and a host of other lottery games.
What Was Louisiana's Largest Prize Payout for Saturday's Powerball Drawing?
The biggest Powerball win from a Louisiana-sold ticket was $50,000 on Saturday night. The point of purchase information on that Powerball winner has not been released as of this report. It will be released later today.
The Louisiana Lotto game continues to amaze me. I would have bet you real money that the game would have produced a winner a month ago, but the jackpot continues to rise. There was no jackpot win in Saturday's drawing for $1.925 million, so that jackpot will be climbing to $2.0 million when they draw again on Wednesday.
The Easy 5 jackpot will be rising as well. Last night the game drew for a top prize of $100,000; there was no jackpot winner, so when Easy 5 has its next drawing on Wednesday night, the top prize will be at least $110,000.
Powerball will draw again on Labor Day Monday. The estimated top prize in that game is $1.10 billion. I would not be surprised to see that amount pushed even higher since "Powerball Fever" should be in full swing all day today and on the Monday holiday.
