Expect slightly cooler temperatures and a little bit better chance of showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon as the weather forecast reverts to a more typical late June pattern
The official forecast from Dave Baker shows temperatures in the middle 90's by the weekend. That means weekend outdoor enthusiast will want to make sure they stay hydrated.
Hopefully the rainfall totals today won't be nearly as heavy as those we received earlier in the week. The good news is that most of the rain should be out of Acadiana by the end of the day.
Showers and thunderstorms will rumble through the heart of Acadiana much of today and into the early evening hours. No severe weather is expected but there is a potential for some very heavy rainfall.
