Our series of the most famous people in each Acadiana parish continues this week as we take a look at notable folks from Jefferson Davis Parish.

Last week we started a new series where we take a look at the most famous people in each Acadiana parish. We started with Acadia Parish and this week move north a little bit to Evangeline Parish.

I thought it would be fun to celebrate and acknowledge some of the more notable Acadiana natives that have helped really put us on the map. So, today I'm starting a series of articles where we'll highlight the most notorious people from each parish.

We head down Hwy 90 and pick up some sugar cane and famous people from Iberia Parish.

There are a ton of famous Louisianians in the entertainment, sports and music world. Ellen DeGeneres, Payton Manning, Hunter Hayes, Tyler Perry, Tim McGraw and the list could go on and on. This got me thinking, is there one particular place in Louisiana that produces the more famous people? There actually is, and it's probably not a place you would ever guess.

You might be surprised at this poll from USA TODAY that tells us who the most famous person in each state is.

We continue with our Famous People from Acadiana articles. So far we've covered St. Martin, Acadia and Iberia parishes. I hope you've enjoyed these compilations as much as I have in researching and putting them together. It is a fun learning experience.
