Ten NCAA softball players who excel both on and off the field are up for the 2012 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence – community, classroom, character and competition.

It's official, Lafayette has been named "The South's Tastiest Town" by Southern Living Magazine! Lafayette received a whopping 194,502 beating out Louisville which came in second with 159,006 votes. New Orleans garnered third place honors with 57,842 votes.
