The Christmas Spirit Is Going Around In Younsgville
The city of Youngsville has found a unique way to celebrate the holiday season.
You'd have to work hard not to find a great, family - friendly Christmas event in Acadiana. Parades, outdoor markets and fairs, houses and buildings decorated with lights, Santa appearing just about everywhere for photo ops. The city of Youngsville has given Christmas and holiday celebrating a new spin this year: the 'Christmas In Youngsville Roundaout Tour.' Even if you're not from or currently living in Youngsville, you know about the roundabouts that make travel easier down Chemin Metairie Parkway to Highway 90. Through the year, they're usually decorated with items that reflect life in Youngsville and Acadiana, but the city has turned them into mini - Winter Wonderlands.
Each of the roundabouts feature Santa and/or other Christmas mainstays like toy soldiers and snowmen in creative displays that also include lights. The city posted a description and guide to the roundabout tour on its Facebook page. Making the tour sounds like a good way to escape the hustle and bustle of city traffic and enjoy the country charm and quiet of Youngsville.
