Voluntary Evacuation Issued For Acadia Parish

The Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office has issued a voluntary evacuation for residents residing south of Highway 92 (southern Acadia Parish) in low lying areas.

If your property floods easily you need to consider evacuating between now and Friday. Officials, however, remind residents that this timeline could move up depending on the storm's movement.

The Pontoon Bridge in Estherwood will be opened tomorrow at Noon until further notice.

The Acadia Parish Police Jury President has signed a declaration for the State of Emergency this afternoon.
