The University of Louisiana at Lafayette has a message for those taking senior photos on campus. 

The University of Louisiana held their summer commencement ceremony today in the convention center and that's when they awarded the family of Brad Wedlock his posthumous doctorate degree and hood.

We have been informed by a spokesperson from The University of Louisiana that they plan to honor the late Brad Wedlock this week.

Wayne Toups will be performing with the Pride Of Acadiana at halftime during the App State-UL football game this Wednesday, October 12.

UL's Pride of Acadiana Marching Band along with Drum Corps International will be hosting the 8th Annual Drums Across Cajun Field this Monday, July 21st, 7pm at Cajun Field.

Even though UL is attempting to establish a tobacco-free campus, there are a few exceptions.

UL Police are investigating a reported shooting of a student Sunday night in front of Dupré library on campus. Police believe the student was shot with a BB gun.

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette's Krewe de Roux Parade will roll on today at 4 pm. The student-organized parade has been a tradition for more than 25 years! This kind of Mardi Gras fun just makes UL even more awesome.

UL senior Ben Boone will be appearing on the Season 13 premiere of American Idol this Wednesday night at 7pm.

The match-up between the Cajuns and the Tulane Green Wave is set for Saturday, December 21st, at 8:00 in the Mercedez-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

I know, I had to read that a few times too before it really sank in. Here in Acadiana, we’re lucky enough to make it onto numerous great top 10 lists…food, business, tourism and culture to name a few. I guess the law of averages eventually wouldn’t play in our favor at some point, and it looks like that time is now…or is it?
