‘7 Day Staples Project’ Partners With Acadiana Food Pantries
Catholic Charities of Acadiana have implemented a project to help out with their partner non profit food pantries during this drastic time. The '7 Day Staples Project' asks citizens to donate $35 to purchase one packet of food for a local family in need. FoodNet Food Bank receives the donation, and in a partnership with Adrien's Supermarket in Lafayette, and Second Harvest Food Bank, puts the packages together. A volunteer will then deliver the packages of locally sourced food to our neighbors in need.
The packages contain a seven day supply of food, and will be distributed throughout the eight parishes served by the Diocese of Lafayette. You can make a donation here, or check out the info on FoodNet's Facebook page below.
