CCSN Memories – Willie Gets His First #1 Song

As long as I can remember Willie Nelson has been making hit records. But for every artist that has had a string of hits, there is always their first. What song do you think was the first number one for Willie as an Artist?

I can tell you happened on this day back in 1975. That's been more than a few years ago for sure. It was from the "Red Headed Stranger" album and brought Willie notariety in many different genre's of music. The song was a number one country hit and it even made it to #21 on the pop charts in 1975.
