A Lafayette man remains in a Florida jail on charges that he arranged a sexual encounter with someone he thought was a juvenile.

Pierre Christophe, 54, is facing two charges--use of a computer to solicit a parent/guardian and use of a computer to facility unlawful travel to meet a minor. Christophe remains in jail on $100,000 bond. His next court date is scheduled for March 24.

"The investigation began in January of this year after Christophe and an undercover agent from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office engaged in an online conversation about incest," Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey said in a press release. "Christophe told the agent that he always wanted to be involved in an incestuous relationship involving a child and subsequently went into specific details about the sexual activities he wanted to engage in with the child."

According to Ivey, Christophe made arrangements to drive from Lafayette to Brevard County to meet the person he though was a child. When Christophe arrived at the prearranged location, sheriff's deputies arrested him.

According to Christophe's LinkedIn page, he owns a tax preparation business.
