Most of us do this everyday anyway but in a world where social media hate gets spread around the globe like butter on a piece of french bread it's probably a good idea to celebrate it.

The act of saying kind, comforting, or encouraging words never goes unnoticed. Sometimes these simple words are more motivational than money, power, or electric cars.

Today is Say Something Nice Day: The actual holiday began in South Carolina. It was a church thing. The mayors of North and South Charleston in South Carolina came together with members of the South Carolina Baptist Convention and the Charleston-Atlantic Presbytery to create a day to be kind to the special people in our lives.

Why limit this to just special people? How about saying something nice for the guy that drops off your mail everyday. Your boss could use a kind word too.  How about something comforting for the clergyman in your life? A kind word has miraculous powers. I do believe in kindness, I wish I practiced it more often. I do believe the world would be a better place if I did.

So here are my kind words for you. Thank you for reading what I write. I appreciate the fact that your time is valuable. I am grateful that you have given me a few moments of your day to contemplate my thoughts. I would love to know your thoughts, they really are important to me.
