Walgreens has confirmed they will be closing around 200 stores across the country.

WAFB.com reports the Walgreens closures were "mentioned in a regulatory form filed Tuesday with the Security and Exchange Commission."

Walgreens says the 200 store closures "represent less than three percent of its U.S. store portfolio" and that most employees affected by the closings will be placed elsewhere in the company.

As of now, Walgreens says they will not be announcing which locations will be closing, only that markets with multiple locations could be affected.
