Walmart Will Have Three Black Friday Events This Year
The coronavirus pandemic has affected so many things and it continues to do so by putting it’s mark on Black Friday. Due to COVID-19 and all of the safety precautions, many retailers have announced they will not hold a Black Friday this year. Walmart being one of the first ones to announce the change this year.
According to NBC News, Walmart will be splitting their annual Black Friday into THREE Black Friday events this year. This is the plan to keep crowds smaller for safety and to avoid overwhelming the supply chain.
We wanted to prioritize our associate safety, customer safety and our ability to serve. - John Furner, Walmart U.S. CEO
They are calling it “Black Friday Deals for Days”. Walmart’s Black Friday for toys, electronics, and home products will be held on November 7th. Walmart’s Black Friday for computers, movies, and music is November 14th. Yes, that is weird because both of those dates fall on Saturdays, not Fridays. The final Walmart Black Friday is on the official Black Friday, which is November 27th, the day after Thanksgiving.
Well, I guess a socially distanced stampede is better than a regular Walmart Black Friday stampede.
