Jill the almost invisible intern asked me last Friday, "When is it going to get cold"? I told her according to Dave Baker Monday morning . It looks like Dead-eye Dave has hit the bulls eye on another forecast.

The current National Weather Service radar from Lake Charles shows a line of thunderstorms and rain pushing from west to east across South Louisiana this morning.

Behind this area of rain is a cold front that will drop temperatures for tonight and most of next week. Dave's official forecast is calling for temperatures to bottom out near 40 degrees in Lafayette. It will be a little cooler the further north you live. The forecast does call for temperatures to moderate slightly toward the end of the week when we should be seeing our next chance of showers.
