In the battle for appetites at my house there are several key factors. The first is time. Do I have time to cook, does anybody in my family have time to eat what I have cooked. Then comes flavor. If it doesn't taste good I won't make it. Finally there is ease of preparation. If it's not easy then I am just going to do Hamburger Helper again.

Our resident Foodie Friday culinary cutie Chef Jill McCoy listens to me whine about food every week. Then I give her an idea I want for our regular Friday series and she always comes back with something amazing.

At my house breakfast is a forgotten meal.  I am never home in the mornings because of the radio show and when I am home on weekends I never know what the family schedule is going to be. I mentioned in an earlier Food Friday segment how I loved pancakes and thought pancakes were the best way to say I Love You at breakfast. Here is what Chef Jill came up with for this week.

Personally I think this recipe is too darn easy but I like easy so here we go. If you are looking for a great pancake recipe that tastes incredible and is so easy you already know how to make it then this is for you.

In the Chef's blog she calls these a "mouthgasm" . I am afraid to explore the definition of that word too deeply in this family friendly forum but I think it means these pancakes taste darn fine.

Actually they do taste really good. The Nutella infused batter compliments the tenderness of the cake and if you like syrup just about any kid or any flavor of syrup will  go well with the nutty goodness of your new favorite pancake.

The only drawback I see with this recipe is if you are feeding younger children they might be turned off by the brown color of the cake. My kids won't eat anything that might be burned. So this would have been a challenge when they were younger.

The flavor is spot on and the ease of this recipe is incredible. I think you'll like it if you try it.
